FAQs

Can I get blood work done at the clinic?

Yes. We have Phlebotomy services on site.

What languages are spoken at the clinic?

English, French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tamil, Hindi, Urdu and Gujarati.

I’m running low/out of my prescription medication. What do I do?

If you need additional refills of your prescription medication you can either book an appointment with your family doctor or call ask your pharmacy to send us an authorization refill request. You may be eligible to renew your prescription by calling the clinic at (905) 591-6060 ext. 3. Pain management and controlled substance prescriptions can only be refilled by coming to see your family doctor.

What is your cancellation/missed appointment policy?

We require 48 hours notice for cancelled appointments. Repeated missed appointments without a reasonable explanation would result in fees of $50 for standard appointments and $100 for physical checkups.

Are you a Walk-in Clinic?

No, we are NOT a Walk-in Clinic.

Do I need OHIP coverage to be seen at the clinic?

We offer fee for service for patients without OHIP coverage or expired OHIP cards. Payment by Cash, Debit, Visa or MasterCard is to be made at the time of your appointment. If your OHIP is activated after your appointment, please contact us immediately for reimbursement.

Are there services not covered by OHIP?

Yes, please ask our health care team whether or not your service is covered by OHIP.

Can My Medical Information Be Obtained Over The Phone?

Unless given explicit instruction from a physician, medical information will not be provided to a patient over the phone by reception. If you would like another person to receive information about your health, we need written consent.

Am I able to see another Doctor if my Family Doctor is not available?

Yes, if your Doctor is unavailable one of our other Family Health Organization physicians will be happy to see you. Please contact us by phone.

Are animals allowed in the clinic?

Wishing Well Medical welcomes service animals only.

What is your harassment Policy?

Wishing Well Medical has zero tolerance for harassment or threats to any staff and will result in dismissal from the practice.

What is your Privacy Policy?
